Costumed cartoon characters, Disney princesses and movie personalities flooded the streets of downtown Howell last Saturday for the sixth annual Legend of Sleepy Howell. An estimated 8,000 people attended the three-hour outdoor event, despite chilly weather in the upper 40s. Main Street Coordinator Karen Williams called the event a success and credited the many volunteers who pooled resources with the event sponsor, Howell's Downtown Development Authority and Main Street Program.
